Third Day with Northern Star and last day with BlueDevils!
|
|
Today... we are getting ready for the festival... erm.. we are quite wondering about the rumors that most of the audience will throw sausages to all the parade member gulp! hehehe
we walked from out camp site to that place... we spend more time waiting than marching.. but there are something interesting going on
the parade was quite ok especially when we met a Brazil Percussion Group with 3 sexy women ( I Taught they are 'shemale' ) It was a great moment when they are playing with thier percussion and dancing along with all the band member '(including Danny) .... and Dennis manage to take the picture with them hahaha cool!!!
we are escorted by a big African Elephants and all the people including me are amaized with that! i taught that truck just bring a small Asian Elephants... it was awesome
at the end of the parade, the corps presenting the 2005 production to the Mayor of the La Gourge... and after that the '' flying sausages'' begin.... hahha i was wrong... they throw a packed of sausages or salami to the audience from the balcony of the Mayor house... hahahah it was great ... Adam F. manage to got 1 sausages,..... i taught they will throw the raw 'tesco/asda/morrison' sausage like what in spain where all the people throw tomatoes to the people
After that we went to the camp site for the last show with the bluedevils.... the stadium was pack with people and the show from both corps was excellent!!!! i manage to take a close photo both from the Northern Star and The Blue Devils...after the northern star show, me, carla, dannielle, joey, and other N* member manage to sit near to the Bluedevils.... . the most memorable moment of my life.... will never forget that Very best lorrr
after the show, we took a lot of photos with the Bluedevils' member.... and we have a excellent moment and at that time, they are busy packing to go to paris.... thanks for being able to spend time with us ... Merci!

The second day of the trip.... DCE Competition At The Kortrijk Stadium Belgium.
All the NS band member are busy doing their training for the competition on the evening, same with Bluedevils. I just helping the NS prepare the meal...( miss the schedule because forgotten to change the time to French Time ... gila one!)
The day was very nice because of the heavy strom last night... so there are no problem for most of the corps member to give thier maximum effort during their rehearsle.
Around 2pm, we started to go to the competition field... we took the same bus and it takes about 1 hour to reach Kortrijk..........
The competition was awesome... i lost my voice at that time giving full support to Northern star and Bluedevils ... Both were awesome ... good job man!
and the Mexican Waves was awesome!!! It reminds me like Band Competition In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!!
So after the competition.... i start be like a fly taking picture with all the corps member especially the Northern Star and of course Bluedevils !!!! The most memorable moment in my life... aduuu bestnyerrr!

Arrival In La Gorgue, France.
|
|
p/s: I'm using Manglish (Malaysian English)
Ok lah. lastly i decided to go to France with The Northern Star. Although i felt like dont want to go.I had decided... i will go hehehe... I just hope that this trip will be different from last trip... And it was
Arrive in France at last! Not so tired but so sleepy one! It takes about 5 hours from Pudsey to Dover, and about 3 hours from france to the destination (La Gourge) A great journey with a good comfortable bus although the bus is a bit warm... At the bus, i just know that most of the NS staffs such as Maria, Mark Bolton and Greg join to march with the corps. Its good mate!
Soon after arrive in La Gorgue, we set the canopy for the staffs to prepare all the foods for the rest of the day and sometimes i went to the grand stand near the stadium to curi curi tengok BlueDevil practice their batteryline... heheh so gila mau tengok that Corps hehehe
so we all set up our sleeping bag ect at the hall.... sebelah BD. Me and Adam go to cari2 any DB member... hehehe and finally found one hehe ..from the colourguard.. we had a chat and they are ermmm really chatty person indeed betul...i'm a bit supprise of their friendliness, felt like long time knew them.... i feel very happy about this... i wish i could join them all day hehehe
then, i just spend all day looking at their rehearsle and help the staffs with the meals.... it was a great day although its very warm .... really warm.....

My Trip To Hungary and Austria!
|
|
Vacation Vacation & Vacation... Hehehe
I'm in Hungary and Austria for about 10 days (from 30 April to 10 Mei).... very nice places indeed... first i wanna to thanks to Peter Habenczius, His Mum (Mrs Elizabeth), Peter's Brother and his wife, his sister and his boyfriend from Sweden (Marrion), Mrs Valeria and His Husband in Budapest, and lastly Mrs Maria and her son in Austria for their hospitality... Kezzonem! (means terima kasih in bahasa Hungary)
erm... the flight takes about 5 hours from Manchester and transit to Amsterdam, Belanda and straight to Budapest. Bila sampai kat sana... erm a bit suprise la jugak... tak macam yg aku bayangkan... ingat macam London ke Budapest ni... heheh cuaca? Sangat Ok Warm aje
So bila i arrive at the airport, Peter and Antony dah tunggu aku kat sana... Antony ni from Nantes, France... datang nak buat 'Placement' dengan Peter ... sebab Peter bukak business la... erm macam Broker la... duit kat sini pakai Forint or HUF... £1 = RM 6.50 = HUF 390 at that time lah haha things.. very cheap here.. but although cheap... still have to spend wisely haaa...
In Hungary..(Budapest)..
- We visited Town of Szentendre. This is a colorful Baroque town, with scenic cobblestone streets, two dozen museums, boutiques and confectionery shops. That place have very nice crystal, paprika, clothes and hats made from one kind of mushrooms and have a Marzipan Museum named as Szabó Marzipan Museum... Marzipan is sorts of chocolate...erm not so sure... they build the statues, bulidings with marzipan and thy sell marzipan cakes, sweets too.. very nice! they said that that museum is the only museum that using marzipan as their main attraction... but true! very nice... at that time.. Peter introduce me to local hungarian food for makan petang .. Malaysia = Goreng Pisang, UK = Fish & Chips, France = Crepes and Hungary = Langer... best!
-We visited the 4 Famous bridges in Budapest... that are Chain Bridge, Budapest Bridge, Maria Valeria
Bridge and Liberty Bridge. That building haaa... very nice at night.. with nice lighting and ada green lazer lagi tu hahaha klakor la wei!
-We visit Budapets City Center, Margaret Island, Budapest Opera House, Royal Palace, Castle Hills, Hungarian Parliment, Central Market Hall, The Citadella, Buda Castle Funicular (Sikló), Inner City Parish Church, Dohány Street Synagogue, lots of statues such as the 1956 Uprising Memorial, Lajos Kossuth Statue, 1956 Revolution Memorial, Statue of Ferenc Rákóczi II, Soviet War Memorial, Statue of Vörösmarty, Petofi Statue, Mercury and others.. letih aku nak menghafal haha... other place that we visited in Budapest are Heroes' Square (Hõsök tere), Esztergom Basilica, Szentendre City Center.
In Hungary..(Pannonhalma)..
- we visited the The Pannonhalma Basilica, The Archabbey, The Porta Speciosa, The crypt in the basilica, The Baroque Library (most of the book there are still in great condition!), Pannonhalma Abbey Library, and New Pannonhalma Wineries. They build the new one because of the communism and turk occupation.
Other than that... we follow Peter for his meeting with the Monk for dealing about his business to the admin there... and after that we ditemani oleh tourist guide yg macam terlebih excited sebab katanya dapat jugak dia explain Pannonhalma dalam bahasa Inggeris hehe... mamat ni boleh cakap France, Inggeris, Hungarian, and German... fuyooo... katanya jarang dia jadi tour and cakap inggeris katanya... patut la ko excited bos...
In Hungary..(Gyor)..
-The town of VÁC, 40km north of Budapest, has a worldlier past than its present sleepy atmosphere suggests, the result being that you can enjoy its architectural heritage in relative peace. Its bishops traditionally showed a flair for self-promotion, like the cardinals of Esztergom, endowing monuments and colleges. Under Turkish occupation (1544–1686), Vác assumed an oriental character, with seven mosques and a public hammam, while during the Reform Era it was linked to Budapest by Hungary's first rail line (the second continued to Bratislava). In 1849 two battles were fought at Vác, the first a victory for the town over the Austrian army, followed a few months later by a defeat in July 1849 when the town was captured; the battles are commemorated by a bright green obelisk by the main road from Budapest, shortly before you enter the town. More recently Vác became notorious for its prison, which has one of the toughest regimes in the country and was used to incarcerate leftists under Admiral Horthy and "counter-revolutionaries" under Communism. Though Vác's legacy of sights justifies a visit, it's not worth staying unless you're planning to visit Vácrátót or Zebegény, or are coming specially for the annual festival at the end of July. (information taken from Yahoo website) Gyor is the Birthplace of Peter's Mum (Mrs Elizabeth). Aku gi amik gambor and terus balik... sebab dari Pannonhalma singgah jap Gyor hehe..
In Hungary..(Visegrád)..
- Sana is historical place such as Castle ruins at the hills.. very nice place and we saw people play payung terjun kat sana...
In Austria..(Vienna)..
- We went with Peter, Anthony, Mrs Valeria and his husband to Mrs Maria's House.. in Austria, they speak German... so i terlopong je la
We visit many places such as Vienna City Center.. like Star Hills in Kuala Lumpur la sikit hehe.. best place if u wanna Shopping , Hofburg Palace (Absolutely Beautiful Palace!!), St. Stephan's Cathedral, and famous Vienna Theme park named Risenrad Prater Park.. ada macam London Eye!
> pic taken from website.. aku tak amik gambor merri go round tu.. ingat tak glamor... lepas nak balik Maria baru bagitau aku...
p/s: thanks to Mrs Maria and Her Son for their Hospitality
